Coke wants to catch you red-handed with their soft drinks.

If you buy Coca-Cola products on Saturdays now through December 30, you could be lucky enough to get your groceries for free. As part of a special contest from the Coca-Cola Beverage Company (Micronesia), Inc. (CCBC), representatives of the “Gotcha Team” will visit grocery stores on a quest to find shoppers with their products.

During random spot checks at stores around the island, if it’s discovered that a shopper has just purchased at least six cans or bottles of any Coca-Cola product, the Gotcha Team will reimburse that shopper for the groceries they bought — on the spot, according to their grocery receipt. The reimbursement will be in the form of a gift certificate for use in purchasing the winner’s next grocery order at the same store.

Coca-Cola products include Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Cherry Coke, Nestea, Sprite, Barq’s Root Beer, Mello Yello, Minute Maid canned sodas & juices, Hi-C drinks & teas, and Powerade.

The Coca-Cola team will visit several stores each Saturday, but only one winner will be picked from each store on any given Saturday. You can win more than once during the 6-week contest up to a maximum prize total of $1,000 per person.

You can also enter the drawing without making a purchase by writing your complete name, address, birth date and telephone number on a piece of paper and mailing it to Coca-Cola at P.O. Box 500266, Saipan, to qualify for a raffle drawing of a $250 grocery gift certificate.

For more information, call CCBC at 235-COKE or look for details at stores around Saipan.
