Tracy Feger, who began swimming for the Saipan Swim Club as early as nine years old in 1993, recently moved to Minnesota with her brother Carlos, also a swimmer, and her mom to finish her last year of high school and compete on the high school swimming team.

She was immediately welcomed on the team and swam several different events during the dual meet season for Morris High School, placing first is several of those events, and breaking school records in the 100 yards Butterfly (1:01.79), 100 yards Backstroke (1:04.47), and the 200 yards Individual Medley (2:16.50).

During the season Tracy qualified for the West Central Sectional Championships at St. Cloud University pool last month, and there proceeded to qualify for the State Championships at the Minneapolis Aquatic Center last week, where she achieved the above times.

She swam her best times in the 100 yards Backstroke and 200 yards Individual Medley and swam on Morris High’s Medley Relay team. Tracy made State Finals in her Fly and IM events, placing 7th and 8th, respectively.
Tracy was also selected as the Swimmer of the Year, and her school team won another award for the team with the highest GPA during the season.

Tracy has indicated she would also like to swim or play waterpolo in college next fall. She is the daughter of Jim and Bobbie Feger, and Jim remains on Saipan teaching at Marianas High School.
