Wabol wins RGA tourney
Jess Wabol’s four birdies and an eagle was more than enough to win the December ace, as he shot 4 under par 68 to beat Alvin Hofschneider’s qualifying net score of 71.
Wabol’s identical score of 2 under par 34 front and back for a low gross 68 assures him the right for a shoot out for the Refalawasch Golf Association Club championship on Dec. 16 at Coral Ocean Point Golf Resort.
With his two handicap, that gives him a low net score of 66 to claim the December title. Other top finishers were John Guerrero’s net 71 and Joe “Baby Bear” Demapan with a net score 73 good for third place. For the accuracy department, Joe “Kamikaze” Camacho was the closest for hole #3 and Joe Mettao for the treacherous #15 which netted both golfers cash prizes.
RGA would like to inform all monthly ace winners that the tournament for club champion is scheduled for Dec. 16 at Coral Ocean Point Golf Resort and tee time is set for 7:00 a.m.
