Children's Christmas Parade on Dec. 21

The Children’s Christmas Parade, an annual event sponsored by the Marianas Visitors Authority, will be held on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, starting from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The parade of children and floats will start in Garapan at the basketball court in front of the Carolinian Utt and will head north toward the American Memorial Park.

This year’s theme will focus on exemplifying the island’s Christmas Spirit.

Points will be awarded for best costume, best singing and best exemplification of holiday spirit.

All public and private schools with grades from Kindergarten to 6th grade are encouraged to participate in this event.

Deadline for registration is 4:00 p.m., Dec. 12, 2000.
