Hyatt awards Employees of the Year
Hyatt Regency Saipan honored four employees as Employee of the Year in appreciation and recognition for their loyalty, dedication and exemplary performance in year 2000. The four employees who were honored are Tina Fuentes, Vicente Sechico, Grace Rojo and Carol Capati.
Employee of the Year for the front of the house went to Tina Fuentes, who has been working with Hyatt Regency Saipan for nine years since 1991. A great asset to Giovanni’s Restaurant in her role as waitstaff, Tina’s friendly smile and outstanding service is one of the intangible qualities that adds a personality to Giovanni’s and invites the customers back to Hyatt.
Employee of the Year for the back of the house was awarded to Vicente (Vic) Sechico. Vic started working with Hyatt since 1991 as a plumber, worked his way up to his present position as a Power Plan Operator. Vic is a great asset to the Engineering Department team, always willing to lend a hand with a smile on his face to those who need his assistance.
Grace Rojo, who received the Leader of the Year Award, started her career with the Hyatt in 1992 as Cafeteria Supervisor in Isla CafÈ, the staff restaurant. As a certified nutritionist and the manager of Staff Cafeteria, Grace is responsible for making sure that each and every one of the employees of Hyatt Regency Saipan is well nourished with balanced and nutritious meal 365 days of the year. Her strong leadership skill is also demonstrated in her role as the coordinator of the hotel’s Activities Committee.
The General Manager’s Award of the Year went to Carol Capati as an acknowledgment for her dedication and excellence shown during her 10 years of employment with Hyatt Regency Saipan. Carol began her career with Hyatt as customer service representative in Sales & Marketing Department in 1990 and is now the service supervisor in Food & Beverage Department overseeing the Club at the Hyatt program.
The winners took home $500.00 cash prize as well as two roundtrip airline tickets to anywhere in Asia.
