Tourist hurt in car accident

A Japanese tourist was struck by a vehicle in front of Sugar King Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Miki Yanai was brought to the Commonwealth Health Center for treatment of minor injuries after a 1998 Kia Sedan heading south driven by Susan Garcia hit the Japanese tourist at around 12 noon.

Woman charged with criminal mischief

Police filed charges of criminal mischief and assault with a dangerous weapon against Mae Blas Aguon after she allegedly struck the vehicle driven by Raymond E. Indalecio Tuesday at around 9 pm.

According to DPS spokesperson Rose Ada, Ms. Aguon followed the car of Mr. Indalecio which was heading south from Trans America in Gualo Rai.

As Mr. Indalecio was driving along the highway, Ms. Aguon who was driving behind hit his vehicle. Too bad, Mr. Indalecio lost control causing his vehicle to spin and hitting the vehicle in front of him.

Ms. Aguon was arrested by the police.
