Marpac sponsors Joeten basketball tournament
Marpac, the islands’ lone and exclusive distributor of Budweiser beers, has pledged major sponsorship to Joeten’s grand Inter-Company Basketball League 2001 which will kick-off tomorrow, Jan. 13, 6:30 p.m. at the C.M.S. Basketball Court in Gualo Rai.
The major sports event will be participated in by J.C. Tenorio Enterprises employees, management and staff in the company’s efforts to promote a sense of unity among its personnel.
Nine basketball teams have already been lined up to compete in the League’s regular season every Wednesdays and Saturdays each week from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m..
According to Marpac Sales Manager Jesse Flores, the Joeten-Marpac team-up in the sports activity is eyed to tighten the good working relationship between both companies.
“At the same time, this is also envisioned to boost camaraderie among all employees,” said Joeten Inter-Company Basketball League President Nathan Sablan.
