NMC’s new Prometric Testing Center opens
Northern Marianas College has completed construction of the new Prometric Testing Center on the Saipan campus and is scheduled to open on Jan. 15, 2001. With the opening of the new Center, NMC is now capable of administering computerized national tests through its contract with Prometric, Inc.
Under this contact NMC will begin administering computer-based tests such as the Graduate Record Exam (GRE), Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Formerly known as the Sylvan Testing Center, the Prometric Testing Center is located in Building “I” inside the Career Resource Center. In order to provide maximum service to the community, the Center will be open Tuesday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Procedures and schedules for test administration are currently being developed. Interested individuals will be able to obtain copies at the Career Resource Center (CRC) and online through the NMC web site, www.nmcnet.edu.
Seating at the Center is limited, therefore prospective test takers must first register with Prometric, Inc. and pay the required test fee(s) before being eligible to take the respective tests.
Northern Marianas College looks forward to providing this service to all CNMI residents and international customers. The Prometric Testing Center’s testing date flexibility along with its committed and trained staff will satisfy and increase the number of individuals that are served.
