ASVAB prep course

At the same time, NMC will also offer a preparatory course for the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) Test beginning on January 22, 2001.

The ASVAB Test is the test required of all persons age 17-25 who plan to enlist in any branch of the U.S. Armed Services. An individual’s test score has a direct effect on the type of job he or she qualifies for within the branches of the U.S. military.

NMC is offering this 4-day preparatory course for all individuals interested in preparing themselves for the actual ASVAB Test.

The preparatory class is scheduled to be held from January 22-25, 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. in room Y-1 on the NMC campus. The class is designed to review specific test components and provide tips on how to work through each type of problem.

The class will focus on improving test-taking skills, such as time management and intelligent guessing. The actual ASVAB Tests are scheduled for Jan. 26, at 4:00pm and Jan. 27, at 7:00am. The testing site will be the U.S. Army Reserve Center in Puerto Rico. A valid photo identification is required.
