The Pacific Islands Club is seeking to collect from a former client over $5,000 in damages for failure to settle payment for a wedding reception hosted by the defendant at the hotel resort last July 8, 2000.

Kristin Ann San Agustin Songa entered into a debt agreement with PIC by signing a promissory note last July 10, 2000, agreeing to pay the establishment the $5,266.45 amount she owed for the wedding reception.

According to a complaint filed by PIC through its legal counsel S. Joshua Berger, Ms. Songa failed and refused to pay any of her pending dues notwithstanding other demands made by the plaintiff.

The defendant now faces a charge of a breach of contract before the Superior Court.

Aside from the unsettled wedding reception dues, the plaintiff also intends to recover the costs of pre-judgment interest as allowed by law from the date of the origination of the debt last July 8, attorney’s fees, and other expenses. (MM)
