Human Resource Society discusses “Stress in the Workplace”

The Commonwealth’s chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management, the CNMI’s professional personnel management organization, will be holding its monthly membership meeting on Feb. 8 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

This month’s meeting will be keynoted by Kay Henderson, a licensed professional counselor at the Department of Public Health’s Community Guidance Center.

The program is expected to provide CNMI-SHRM members and guests with an excellent opportunity to improve their knowledge and understanding on dealing with employees and stress in the workplace.

The discussion will consist of what stress is about and how it affects people physiologically and physiologically. Attendees will also learn how to recognize signs of a stressed out employee, practical suggestions, and relaxation techniques.

The CNMI Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management is the Commonwealth’s foremost professional forum for discussion and training in Human Resource matters.

Recognized as a Superior Merit Chapter, the CNMI branch is composed of human resource professionals from a variety of industries who recognize a need for a local society for professionals in the personnel field.

The CNMI Chapter is affiliated with the national organization. Chapter membership meetings are not limited to members. Prospective members and companies or individuals interested in the discussion topic are encouraged to attend.
