Hundreds of music enthusiasts trooped to the Tinian Dynasty Hotel & Casino Ballroom last Feb. 3 to watch popular Filipino singer/actress Jessa Zaragosa perform in a one-night concert on the island, presented by the Marianas Islands Amateur Radio Association.

The Jessa Zaragosa Pure In Heart concert also awed local residents with her live rendition of popular hits. Ms. Zaragosa said she feels elated by the warm reception given her by the Island of Tinian.

She also grabbed the chance to invite her Filipino followers in the Northern Marianas to continue supporting her album. The sensational singer/actress also held a mini-fans’ day where she graciously pose with supporters.

Born in 1979, Ms. Zaragoza started her career at a young age in modeling and acting both on television and the big screen. Her movie credits include “Bakit Pa?” which she played opposite Dieter Ocampo and Troy Montero.

She was an OctoArts-EMI recording artist until July 2000 and is now under ABS-CBN’s Star Records. In 1997 she launched her first album Just Can’t Help Feelin’ and received an eight-time platinum status. She successfully held her first major concert at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.

Ms. Zaragosa also received numerous music credits including the Best Performance by a Female Recording Artist at the 1999 Awit Awards.
