Hopwood Junior High School informs all parents and guardians that students will be receiving their 3rd Quarter mid-progress report card with grades from each of their teachers on Tuesday.

Parents are urged to go over the mid-progress report card with the children, and share in their successes and needs for improvement. HJHS also asked parents to encourage their children to do well in all their studies the remaining school days for this school year. Should a parent or guardian have any comments or concerns, HJHS asks that they contact or visit the school and talk to the teachers.

HJHS completed a week-long school-wide celebration of Black History Month with a Parade in Chalan Kanoa village area last Feb. 23. In addition, students did a great job writing essays on the themes of “Why we celebrate Black History” and “Why we celebrate Dr. Luther King, Jr.’s Birthday,” and letters to CNMI Senators on the proposed changes in the CNMI Constitution to increase PSS from 15% to 25% following a general assembly talk by Representatives Brigida Ichihara and Tom Pangelinan.
