The Northern Marianas College’s Small Business Development Center, the Commonwealth Development Authority, the USDA Rural Development and the First Hawaiian Bank have joined hands to hold business and personal finance workshops.

The workshops are focused at listing down ways for better fiscal management and better ways to spend the hard-earned greenback wisely, considering the fact that many people live from paycheck to paycheck.

Ken Shankweiler, president of The Debt Busters Inc. will deliver the critically acclaimed workshops on March 21 at the Charley’s Cabaret of the Pacific Islands Club.

The workshops are specifically designed for average income people and small business owners who would like to reduce and eliminate expenses, improve cash flow and build wealth with the same money they are already contributing to business or personal debt.

The workshops will provide participants the knowledge they need to pay off their expenses, save on interest payments and develop better spending habits along the way.

This can all be done on current income. The methods are based on specific powerful and proven strategies that work every single time.

Dr. Shankweiler will talk about ways to reduce expenses, eliminate all debts, operate 100 percent on cash, and examine spending habits with a focus on never needing credit.

Participants are encouraged to bring a pocket calculator, list of personal and/or business debts with balances and monthly payments and, during class, develop their own wealth plan that can be implemented immediately.

Registration for the workshop on Saipan begins at 8:30am at Charley’s Cabaret, located next to the Magellan Dining Room. The morning workshop will run from 9am until 12 noon with a buffet lunch to follow.

The afternoon workshop will commence at 1:30pm and will end at about 4:30pm. The fee to attend the workshop is $20. Lunch is included. To register, please contact Robert Suzuki at 235-1551 and make your check payable to the NMC Small Business Development Center.
