Tony Satur captured his February Ace title for the new season and a spot for the club champion shootout in December.

The Capitol Hill resident carded a beautiful 1 over par 73 gross during the Refalawash Golf Association February Ace Tournament at Laolao Bay West Course on Feb. 24, to sneak by Jess Wabol and Kim Seung.

With his booming long drives and razor sharp putting, Satur was able to turn out the lights on Wabol and Kim by coming on strong on the back nine with a magnificent 1 under par 35.

His 5 handicap netted him a respectable 4 under par net 68 to beat Wabol based on a scorecard play-off. Kim place third after beating out Sonny Flores with identical net score 69 on scorecard play-off. Highlights of Satur’s round were consecutive birdies on hole #4, #5, and hole #10 and 13.

For the closest to the pin contest, Sonny Flores was the winner on hole #3 and Joe “baby Bear” Demapan came close to making hole-in-one on #13. All winners received cash prizes for their efforts.

The March qualifying tournament is scheduled for March 11 at the Marianas Country Club. Tee time is set for 10am.

Interested participants are encouraged to report early for registration and parings. Space is limited to 16 pax only.

Also RGA will be raffling off 4 slots for the Upcoming Boy Scout of America Tournament schedule for March 31. RGA will pay the tournament fee for the 4 raffle winners.
