POLICE BLOTTER
Never walk alone
A 29-year-old woman unsuspectingly walking alone in Navy Hill fell prey to a snatching incident Saturday night.
Yu Mei Wang, a Chinese worker, learned her lesson the hard way, or only after she lost her purse to an unidentified snatcher.
Police records disclosed Ms. Wang was on her way home at around 11:30pm Saturday when an unidentified suspect suddenly appeared and grabbed her purse.
Police would not know how much money and valuables were inside Ms. Wang’s purse. The case is now under investigation.
While she was sleeping
There’s no place like home, especially for children-victims of sexual abuse.
A 15-year-old girl never thought anybody could do her harm while she is sheltered inside their home. She was apparently mistaken.
The girl on Maundy Thursday lodged a complaint against a man, whose identity police withheld pending arrest, for alleged sexual abuse.
She claimed the suspect touched her body and vagina over her clothes while she was sleeping right inside their house in Dandan.
Police has launched a more thorough investigation on the matter, according to Department of Public Safety spokesperson Cecil Celes.
Don’t keep them waiting
Police arrested two men for allegedly attacking three San Jose males who apparently failed to immediately give a ready answer to the suspects’ inquiry.
Police said Joey Cabrera Duenas, 20, and Gregorio Matermi Torres, 21, reacted violently after they failed to quickly inform the suspects of the whereabouts of one of the victims’ brother.
Police records disclosed one of the victims, a 28-year-old man, suffered lacerations and minor injuries from the suspects’ assault, while the two other victims bore no wounds.
The suspects who got rowdy when they couldn’t find the person they were looking for reportedly assaulted the victims with icepick.
Mr. Duenas and Mr. Torres are now facing charges of disturbing the peace, assault and battery, possession of dangerous weapon, and resisting arrest.
Hush now, baby
This father apparently has little tolerance over crying babies. He ended up punching her wife when she was not able to make her six-month-old baby stop crying.
Orlando Tavara Zandueta, 36, allegedly hit his 27-year-old wife on the head area over their baby who was reportedly making loud whines early Good Friday morning.
Police records indicated that Mr. Zandueta was worried over what their apparently asleep neighbors would say about the baby’s loud whining shortly before 6am.
His wife reportedly locked him outside their apartment but he managed to get into the unit and punched her. She ran outside the house to seek help.
The victim bore minor scratches on the head area, police said. The suspect is now facing charges of assault and battery.
