A 36-year-old man claimed Sunday that two men dragged him across town against his will amid suspicions that he told authorities about an illegal gambling business that a friend of theirs reportedly operated in Garapan.

The victim, identified as Shun Jia Wei, informed police that last April 8, the suspects attacked him several times, tied his hands and legs and even threatened to take him to the Banzai Cliff to kill him.

The two suspects have been identified as Xiao Dei and Lin Fong, a police report narrated by Public Safety spokesperson Lt. Pete C. Muña revealed.

Both suspects, who are Chinese nationals, allegedly took Wei to a place called Casino Jeep #501 and afterwards to a poker place in San Antonio, where he was tied to a bed, Muña said. There, Dei allegedly punched the victim on the face several times.

Next, Dei and Fong reportedly transported the victim to the Honey Moon Hotel in Gualo Rai where he stayed for hours until Dei blindfolded him and drove him to Agingan Point. There, Dei reportedly removed his blind fold before releasing him, Muña said.

As it turned out, Wei is reportedly alien worker who has stayed past the expiration of his entry permit, police said. He is now booked at the detention facility. (Marian A. Maraya)
