Saipan Little League Baseball officials expressed their great appreciation to the Pacific Trading Company yesterday after the company agreed to sponsor the awards and trophies for the 2002 Big League and Little League Divisions.

In a brief conference held at Pacific Trading’s headquarters in Puerto Rico, General Manager Charles Cepeda announced the sponsorship of the two divisions, which will receive over 60 trophies and awards from the company.

On hand to witness the announcement were Saipan Little League Baseball President Joe Borja, District Administrator and Deputy Regional Asia-Pacific Director James Ada, Assistant District Administrator Mike Borja, Joe Terlaje, Jess Ngeskabei, and Al Santos.

In an interview with Saipan Tribune, Ada commented on how Pacific Trading Company has been assisting the league.

“They have been a major contributor to the league,” he said. “This is the second time they’ve helped us, the first was back in 1999.”
