Strike a pose for admin personnel
An ensemble of business outfits, casual and evening wear were paraded at the Aqua Resort Club’s Raraina Restaurant Wednesday, in line with the celebration of the CNMI Administrative Professional Day.
Aqua Resort employees paraded a variety of business, casual and formal clothing before a wowed crowd of administrative personnel and their bosses, who were also treated to a sumptuous at the restaurant.
The show featured casual wear, business outfits, evening and wedding gowns from Urban Outlet, Pena House, Watabe Wedding Overseas Company, and Duty Free Shoppers Galleria-Saipan.
The Aqua Resort, in collaboration with its sponsors that also include Salon de Vina, Salon de Manila, Viralicci, and First Floral, also raffled off prizes to celebrating employers and their staff.
The Aqua Resort handed out flowers and prepared a selection of dishes that gave administrative personnel a tug in their heart—as employers took time off to treat their secretaries to recognize their efforts and dedicated hard work.
Gov. Juan N. Babauta earlier declared the week of April 21-27 as the CNMI Administrative Professionals Day.
The CNMI joined the rest of the world in acknowledging the technical and managerial roles of administrative professionals as the International Association of Administrative Professionals celebrates its 50th year.
Administrative professionals include office clerks, customer service representatives, receptionists, and other office staff, who posses the qualities of compassion, friendliness, trustworthiness, and expertise in juggling numerous tasks simultaneously.
There are approximately 8.9 million people around the world who are working in administrative roles and have been contributing to the success of business in both public and private sectors.
Administrative professionals are expanding into more technical and managerial roles dominated by desktop and laptop computers and the ever-changing world of cyberspace.
The CNMI continues to recognize these individuals who have made the workforce run by providing vital services to government offices, private corporations, community-based organizations, among others.
In continued recognition of the Administrative Professional Week, the Department of Workforce and Community Development Programs, under the Northern Marianas College’s Division of Continuing Education, and the CNMI Women’s Affairs Office are also conducting a series of workshop to improve employees technical skills, customer service, business telephone etiquette, how to start an administrative services business, and internet investing.
