Clinic affirms commitment to CNMI with new doctor
In efforts to bolster its community service, the Island Medical Center welcomed onboard its newest all-around physician Dr. H. Christine Brown whose expertise stemmed from international medical practice.
Island Medical Center Administrator Art Moore said that aside from a wide array of health services provided by the health center, women’s gynecological problems can now easily be discussed without discomfort.
Dr. Brown, a board certified Family Practice physician, received her medical degree at the University of South Florida and her residency in Family Practice with a focus on International Health at the University of Cincinnati.
“We basically offer all health services from birth to death and all other child care,” said Moore.
The Island Medical Center provides services in primary care medicine, including Family Practice, Pediatrics and Adult Medicine. The center also offers physical examination of overseas contract workers.
With the increasing needs of the community, Moore said the Island Medical Center has a responsibility to grow along with them.
“There are changes and needs and the Island Medical Center will see to it that it can provide the medical needs of the community,” said the administrator adding that he wants the center to be known as a health provider for the Susupe community.
He assured Saipan residents that the center will continuously participate at great length with the island’s medical planning and needs.
