The Division of Environmental Quality and the Bureau of Environmental Health is conducting On-site Disposal System and premise compliance inspections on residential and business facilities in Kagman.

The inspections is ongoing since April 21 and will continue to be conducted every Tuesday and Wednesday.

These inspections are mandated by Public Law 12-48, which states that inspection must be conducted on commercial and private premises to prevent and control vector-borne diseases. Furthermore, the Governor’s Directive, No. 220 discusses the identification and elimination of non-point source pollution, such as leakage from sewer systems and effluent disposals.

Kagman residents are asked to cooperate with inspectors by keeping their dog(s) on a leash for the safety of the inspectors. Both BEH and DEQ inspectors are required to wear their respective uniforms and photo identification during all inspections.

For additional information on the OSDS inspections, contact the BEH office at 664-4870/2 or the DEQ office at 664-8500/1.
