Saipan-born Yvonne Lynise Castro recently graduated on the Top 10 of her class from Marshwood High School in South Berwick, Maine, according to a report on Maine-based Foster’s.

The report said that Castro, the daughter of Anita and Andrew Castro of Eliot, rejoined the Hawk family in the fall of her senior year. She then completed her senior year early, in January, so as to allow herself to more fully pursue her involvement in a voluntary teaching work, it added.

In the fall of 2004, Castro plans to pursue her degree in Teaching English as a Second Language at Saint Petersburg University in Moscow, it said.

Besides Castro, others on the top 10 are Rebecca Jane Dailey, valedictorian; Rebecca Leathe, salutatorian; Benjamin Lynch, Caitlin Moseman, Carlyn Whittington Chase, Caitlin Elizabeth McGreevy, Joseph Collier, Ashley Dawn Stevens, and Julia Tomanio.
