BOG supports Junior Achievement of Guam as Pioneer Partner

HAGÅTÑA, Guam—Bank of Guam is excited to announce its annual partnership with Junior Achievement of Guam.

In celebration of JA Guam’s 50th anniversary, Bank of Guam is supporting this year’s program as a Pioneer Partner with a $5,000 sponsorship. This contribution will directly support Junior Achievement events for the 2024-2025 school year, including JA Guam’s flagship Company of the Year program for high school students.

Junior Achievement is the world’s largest non-profit organization dedicated to educating students about work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on skills programs. For five decades, JA Guam has equipped young minds with invaluable skills, helping students develop a foundation to build brighter futures for themselves and the community.

“As The People’s Bank, we’ve always been committed to supporting small businesses and providing them with the tools to succeed financially. Our partnership with JA Guam is an extension of our founder’s vision, allowing us to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our youth,” said BOG president and chief executive officer Joaquin P. L.G. Cook.

“Beyond our sponsorship is the hours of mentorship our team is dedicating to support and empower our students. We are excited to be part of a program that uplifts and fuels the entrepreneurial spirit and creativity of our youth. We also extend our congratulations and continued support to Joshua Miller on his new role as executive director and look forward to his continued energy and leadership,” said BOG senior vice president and chief experience officer Lesley Leon Guerrero.

She is also a board member of Junior Achievement of Guam.
