CNMI DOL to launch revamped website
As part of the continuing efforts to empower the CNMI’s workforce and support the CNMI business community, the CNMI Department of Labor, in collaboration with CNMI OSHA On-Site Consultation Division, will launch a new website that includes a new interface and look.
Starting on March 5, 2023, community members will be asked to log on to labor.cnmi.gov instead of marianaslabor.net.
This new website features easier access to essential information on occupational safety and health regulations, allowing CNMI OSHA to share updates, guidelines, and educational resources.
A dedicated news section provides real-time updates on the latest developments in safety and health. The website streamlines services, making it convenient for businesses to request a consultation visit with a click of a button; and the mobile compatibility allows for these services to be available across various devices.
The website will also provide new and improved access to important labor resources from all the CNMI Department of Labor Divisions. Jobseekers and business owners can continue to access forms for all the divisions, from the Administrative Hearing Office to the Workforce List template for the quarterly Census of Employment submission. It will also continue to provide links to reports and other labor resources.
A major new feature is the CNMI Job Board—a modern and user-friendly platform for job seekers and employers, both public and private. The job board replaces the previous job vacancy announcement, or JVA, system. It allows applicants to easily search for and apply for open positions and enables companies to reach a wide pool of candidates—all with a new and improved user interface, including access on mobile devices.
All businesses that currently rely on the old site must make note that any new JVAs must be posted on the new site starting March 5. The old site will remain online for viewing only, until the last JVA opening date passes. The old site will be taken offline after that date.
The transition to the new website will be seamless, with the old marianaslabor.net address automatically redirecting users. However, if there are any questions or technical issues, the department can be reached at info@dol.gov.mp.
“Our new website and job board will greatly improve the services we provide for the people of the CNMI by enhancing access to vital labor information,” said Employment Services director Eugene Tebuteb. “We encourage all job seekers and employers to visit our new website and sign up for the job board and newsletter to stay up-to-date.
As part of the transition, instructional videos on how to use the new interface will be emailed to current registered users and made available on the site and our various social media for all users. Additionally, there will be outreach events scheduled with opportunities for face-to-face training for job applicants and business owners using the site. Those dates will be announced soon and will be available to share on CNMI DOL’s social media pages (@cnmidol). (PR)
