CNMI WIC Program revises income eligibility guidelines for FY2024

The CNMI WIC Programs Income Eligibility Guidelines have been updated effective May 1, 2024. WIC is available to the CNMI’s pregnant, breastfeeding, postpartum women, infants, and children under the age of 5 who are at nutritional risk and who are at or below 185% of the federal poverty guidelines. A pregnant woman is considered two family members or more if pregnant with multiples.

All WIC Income Eligibility Guidelines are based on gross income, meaning before taxes and other deductions. A person or family member who participates in other benefits program, such as the Nutrition Assistance Program or Medicaid automatically meet the income requirement to be a WIC participant.

What to bring to your WIC appointment—WIC requires all persons enrolling in the program to be present a long with their photo ID (driver’s license, mayor’s ID, passport), the child’s identification (mayor’s ID, birth certificate, crib card if no birth certificate yet), proof of income (30 days of recent check stubs, Medicaid card, NAP card), and a proof of address (like Commonwealth Utilities Corp. billing or map to residence).

The CNMI WIC Program encourages community members to call the clinic at (670) 664-4084 to make appointment and see if they qualify.
