CNMI sees 1st gas price rollback of the year
After three consecutive increases, the CNMI saw its first rollback in gas prices after local oil companies reduced its prices by 10 cents last week.
Last Thursday afternoon, Mobil Oil Marianas reduced its prices by 10 cents marking the first rollback seen since the beginning of 2024. Shell Marianas reduced its prices shortly after, implementing the change over the weekend.
With the recent reduction in prices, Mobil now charges $5.46 per gallon of Extra fuel from $5.56. Mobil’s Supreme fuel also went down from $6.01 per gallon to $5.91, while Diesel went from $5.93 to $5.83.
The year started off with an upward trend in gas prices. The upward trend in gas prices began late in January with gas prices increasing from $5.26 per gallon of regular fuel to $5.36.
Then, in the first week of February, gas prices went up again with gas increasing from $5.36 per gallon to $5.46. began late in January with gas prices increasing from $5.26 per gallon of regular fuel to $5.36.
