Castro leads Saipan Senate race after Precinct 1 count

At 11:40pm, the Commonwealth Election Commission announced the unofficial results from Precinct 1A, 1B, and 1C ballot tabulations.

According to the updated results, Rep. Manny Gregory Castro (Ind-Saipan) is leading in the District 3 Senatorial race with 3,212 votes. Following closely behind with 2,698 votes is Senate President Edith Deleon Guerrero (D-Saipan) and lastly, with 243 total votes is Luis Masga Sablan.

At 11:24pm, Precinct 7, or Rota ballots, arrived and have been brought before the CEC.

Specifically three locked boxes were carried in by Department of Public Safety officers.
