Coca-Cola, Foremost, Subway Platinum Sponsor of Saipan Marathon 2024

Coca-Cola, Foremost, and Subway have collectively signed on as Platinum Sponsor of Saipan Marathon 2024 slated for March 9, 2024, in the Marianas.

The Marianas Visitors Authority has designated Powerade as the Official Sports Drink, Subway, the Official Sandwich Sponsor, and Foremost Quench, the Official Water of Saipan Marathon 2024.

Starting at race packet pickup on March 8 through the marathon awards banquet, participants will be able to enjoy a variety of products from the companies, including Powerade, Quench Water, Coca-Cola products, Foremost Blend Iced Coffee, Super Coffee, Super Energy, and more. Subway Restaurants of Saipan will provide sandwich platters to event volunteers. An assortment of gift certificates and other giveaways are also part of the sponsorship package from the group of companies.

The Saipan Marathon is a certified measured course by World Athletics in cooperation with the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races. The marathon is co-organized by the MVA and Northern Marianas Athletics and is sanctioned under the Northern Marianas Athletics rules and regulations.

Over 400 runners have registered for either the full marathon, half-marathon, 10K or 5K, which will all begin and end at American Memorial Park in downtown Garapan. Cash prizes will be awarded for top finishers and by age division in the marathon. Participants will receive a Limited Edition Official Saipan Marathon T-shirt, official Saipan Marathon medal, Certificate of Completion and one entry to the awards banquet on March 9 at Hyatt Regency Saipan. In-kind prizes will also be awarded for the Wacky Awards: Best Costume, Best Body Paint, Shortest Shorts, Most Awesome Shoes, Ugliest Shoes, and Craziest Hair.

Registration is open at www.raceroster.com and is $110 for the full marathon and $80 for the half marathon, 10K, and 5K. Full marathon participants must be age 18 or older. Half marathon participants must be age 14 or older. With valid photo ID, students ages 18 or younger may register for $60. Registration will close at 5pm ChST on March 7, 2024, and mandatory race packet pickup will be on March 8 from 4pm to 6pm at American Memorial Park Amphitheatre in Garapan, Saipan.

A new course highlighting iconic sites from the Marianas’ rich history awaits full marathon runners. The road race will traverse sites from the various eras of Marianas history, including pre-history, the Spanish administration, the Japanese administration in the early 1900s, World War II, and modern history as a U.S. Commonwealth.
