Dolphin Restaurant offers lunch buffet with breathtaking view

Dolphin Restaurant atop the 11th floor of Grandvrio Resort Saipan’s Chrystal Tower offers a lunch buffet with the island’s best view of the Saipan lagoon every Friday and Saturday.

F&B assistant manager Corazon Barrios said they started their lunch buffet on the crown jewel of the property last May 3 to give tourists and locals alike a dining experience to remember, while feasting not only on the dishes expertly prepared by their chefs, but also the mesmerizing vista of the Philippine Sea fronting the Grandvrio Resort beachside.

Much more, Barrios said customers can have the best of both worlds—terrific food and one-of-a-kind ambience—without breaking the bank.

“Even though the hotel industry is suffering due to inflation and the economic slowdown, we are keeping our lunch buffet affordable without compromising the quality of the food,” she said.

Barrios said some of the usual and popular items in Dolphin Restaurant’s lunch buffet spread are their appetizers like spicy tuna roll, ahi poke, local chicken kelaguen, and crispy wonton crab meat salad. For the main entrees, their most popular items are the steamed fish, short ribs, baby back ribs, and chicken marsala. Assorted fruits, pastries, and ice cream are the usual desserts.

Since launching their lunch buffet more than three months ago, Barrios is happy to say that it’s been a great success.

“The local community has been very accepting with regard to our new lunch buffet at Dolphin Restaurant. Actually, we have received numerous reservations since opening day and we hope that the community will continue to show their support,” she said.

Dolphin Restaurant can comfortably sit 70 customers and the lunch buffet is available only on Fridays and Saturdays from 11:30am to 2pm. It costs $22 for adults and $11 for children 4-11 years old. They also have an ongoing promotion were a party of six only have to pay for five buffet lunches. Guests at Dolphin Restaurant can also use Grandvrio Resort’s swimming pool for only $5 instead of the usual $10 usage fee.

Those not really pining for a buffet, can still try out their very popular bento box offerings, according to Barrios.

“There are a couple of items that are quite popular and highly requested during our lunch hour like our bento box. So, while we have the lunch buffet, we also are serving ala carte at the same day of our lunch buffet,” she said.

Grandvrio Resort’s Pool Bar is also currently offering a Happy Hour 5pm-7pm discount of 20% on food and individual drinks.

“All walk-in guest will also have access to our pool for just $5 with a purchase of a drink. There are also different kinds of promotions we offer which changes depending on the season. Discount-wise, we do offer a 10% for military and government staff, with valid ID,” said Barrios.
