ESGR presents Seven Seals Award to Mike Sablan

Mike Sablan, Triple J’s vice president of Finance & Administration, was honored last Thursday by the Guam-CNMI Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve and was presented with the prestigious Seven Seals Award at the Surfrider Resort Hotel in Chalan Kanoa.

Representatives of the Guam-CNMI State ESGR Committee presented Sablan with the award for his dedication and support of not only ESGR but the country. The award honors an individual or organization for supporting the ESGR’s mission, which seeks to protect the employment rights of U.S. service members.

“We are also so very, very proud of the work Mr. Sablan has done as a civilian aide to the Secretary of the Army, as well as having supported us in our mission for the ESGR. …Not only does he care for the service that we work with but even the entire military branch with the U.S. government,” said CNMI Area chair Dr. Rita Sablan.

Upon receiving the award, Sablan shared his gratitude and said, “Our nation is in great need for young leaders to participate in defending our values and our country. The U.S. military, as you know, is quite busy around the world, and as busy as we are, we need more leaders, more enlisted men as well. I’ve been doing my best to try to help recruit more to serve the military, and I’m very proud to work alongside some veterans.”

The Seven Seals Award, representing all the branches of the U.S. military, is given for “meritorious leadership and initiative in support of the men and women who serve America in the National Guard and Reserve.” It is signed by the ESGR national chair.
