GCC welcomes new vice president of Finance and Administration
Guam Community College is excited to announce the appointment of Clarissa T. Padua as the new vice president of Finance and Administration. Padua assumed the position with GCC on Monday, July 29, 2024, bringing her extensive experience and impressive qualifications, and is already a valuable asset to our college community.
Padua comes to GCC from the Guam Football Association, where she was the chief financial officer. She has a strong background in finance and administration. In her previous role with GFA, she ensured compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, prepared budgets, and facilitated audits.
Padua started her professional career in the Advisory Department with Deloitte Guam and previously worked at United Airlines, Inc., serving as the senior manager for the South Pacific region. She was the business advisor and Women in Business Program coordinator with the Small Business Development Center. She also designed instructed courses in strategic business and financial planning, including marketing and industry research while managing a program supporting women in business, through training and advocacy.
Padua has a passion for education, having taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Guam and a business instructor at the Academy of Our Lady of Guam. She received her Master of Accountancy (Cohort I) in December 2023 and her Professional Master of Business Administration (Cohort XVII) in May 2022 from UOG.
