In support of Carla A. Sablan

I am writing to express my strong support for Carla A. Sablan as the next principal of Chacha Ocean View Middle School. Mrs. Sablan is a true leader who has effectively brought together a divided group and transformed it into a cohesive team. Since her arrival as our interim principal, then later vice-principal, her dedication and commitment to our school community has been evident in everything she does.

Mrs. Sablan’s visibility in classrooms and hallways fosters a strong sense of community. She engages with both students and staff, ensuring that everyone feels seen and heard. Her transparent communication style keeps our team informed about important information, promoting trust and collaboration throughout our school.

Her open-door policy encourages faculty and staff to approach her with any concerns or ideas, creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued. The positive changes we have seen since her leadership are profound; students have noticed a significant transformation in the school atmosphere, and they feel comfortable speaking with her about their needs and aspirations.

Under Mrs. Sablan’s guidance, faculty, staff, and student morale has significantly increased. She inspires us all to strive for excellence and fosters a supportive environment where collaboration thrives. Additionally, her commitment to improving the face of our school through various improvement projects has made a lasting impact on our community.

I urge the PSS Board of Education and the Commissioner of Education to seriously consider my plea to PERMANENTLY appoint Mrs. Carla A. Sablan as principal for Chacha Ocean View Middle School. Our faculty, staff, and students firmly believe that she has initiated tremendous positive changes for the betterment of our school.

Furthermore, I ask the Board of Education and the Commissioner to reevaluate any decisions regarding the shuffling of administrators from their current positions, especially when there is evident success in both academics and morale. Stability in leadership is crucial for sustaining our growth and progress.

Thank you for considering my strong endorsement of Mrs. Carla A. Sablan. I am confident that her leadership will continue to bring about positive change and excellence at Chacha Ocean View Middle School.
