JKPL thanks community partners for beautification efforts

Joeten-Kiyu Public Library humbly thanks the following individuals and organizations for assisting in the beautification efforts of the library’s grounds: the Department of Corrections, DOC Commissioner Anthony Torres, DOC Outreach Division Sgt. Jeff Quitugua, DOC officer-in-charge Swaine Cangco, Juan C. Lizama from the Office of Rep. John Paul Sablan (Ind-Saipan), Rep. Sablan, De Paul (Amu) Itibus from the Office of Rep. Manny Castro (Ind-Saipan), and Rep. Castro.

Library director Erlinda C. Naputi shared, “We are incredibly grateful for the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library beautification efforts conducted by the Department of Corrections and House of Representatives staff. Because of their hard work, our library grounds were bush cut, trimmed, and cleaned. Our walkways and the entire JKPL parking lot were water blasted. Thank you for extending this much needed beautification effort for our humble library,” she said.

JKPL continues to invite and welcome partnership efforts from agencies such as yours to help assist us in our beautification efforts.

Trunk or Treat is coming up at the library on Oct. 31, 2023 and JKPL is expecting over 4,000 community members to visit.

The JKPL hours of operation are as follows: Tuesday to Thursday, 10am-6pm; Friday, 1:30pm-7pm, and Saturday, 9:30am-4pm. JKPL is closed om Sundays, Mondays, Austerity Saturdays, and holidays (Closed for JKPL Austerity on Sept. 30, 2023).
