Judiciary to close on Nov. 29
HAGATÑA, Guam—In adherence to Administrative Order No. ADM24-008, the Judicial Branch of the government of Guam will be closed on Friday, Nov. 29, 2024. The order was filed this morning following a recent executive order issued by the Governor of Guam, mandating the closure of all executive branch departments and agencies on the same day.
“To provide uniformity and equity throughout the Government of Guam and in recognition of the dedication of the employees of the Judiciary of Guam to providing the highest quality of justice services to the people of Guam, it is reasonable to likewise close the Judicial Branch and allow Judiciary of Guam employees to enjoy the spirit of the season,” stated the order.
The closure does not apply to magistrate hearings and other emergency filings. Any filing due on Friday, Nov. 29, 2024, shall be deemed timely filed if filed on Monday, Dec. 2, 2024. (PR)
