Just4Fun extinguishes Red Torch, 20-5

Just4Fun extinguished Red Torch’s flame, 20-5, in the continuation of the 2024 Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball Association Men’s Slow Pitch Open League last Sunday at the Dandan Softball Field.

Just4Fun had a field day against Red Torch’s pitcher as everyone in their lineup contributed to the team’s win.

Red Torch drew first blood at the top of the first inning with two runs by Seleno Yorormad and Jobe Reyes, but Just4Fun doubled the lead at their turn at the plate. Brian Camacho, Nate Camacho, and Jay Kintol rounded the bases after a bases-clearing grand slam by Ben Jones to put Just4Fun up, 4-2 heading into the second.

Taylor Germance then cut the lead to one, 3-4, after he scored in the second for Red Torch. Just4Fun scored one in the second, then Red Torch added two tie knot it all up, 5-5. However, Just4Fun blew the game wide open in the third as they brought in 10 runs from three homers.

Keith Kintol hit a three-run homer, followed by a two-run jack by Antonio Norita. Three batters then got on base and were in perfect position for another grand slam—this time by Shine Tenorio for a 15-5 lead.

Just4Fun wasn’t done as they hit three more homers—one by Keith, Ko Lifoifoi, and Tyler Flores for a 20-5 final after Red Torch failed to produce in their last at-bat.

In other results, Wazzup beat Ur Balls, 17-3; Bat Dat Ass up dropped Team Luchan, 5-2; the Homies destroyed AB Team, 20-9; Aimeliik Bat Boys bashed Taotao Mona, 24-14; The Kliq overpowered Saipal, 43-14; Team Yayaya shut down Pare Pack, 24-10; and Brotherhood ganged up against the Blue Jays, 24-14.

In the standings, only Brotherhood, Homies, and Team Yayaya are still undefeated with three wins each. Wazzup, Bat Dat Ass Up, Aimeliik Bat Boys, Just4Fun, The Kliq are at 2-1 each; Ur Balls, AB Team, Taotao Mona, Saipal, Red Torch, Pare Pack, and Blue Jays are at 1-2 each, and only Team Luchan has yet to win at three losses.
