KFC Blowout Raffle for Parents Day

To celebrate the sometimes unsung heroes in the community, while also having a fun activity for their customers, Saipan’s local KFC and Taco Bell celebrated mothers and fathers in the community with a fun Parents Blowout Raffle last July 7 at their main location in Chalan Kanoa.

Two winners, Mona Deleon Guerrero, and Merly Dela Cruz, took home the grand prizes, each worth $800, or a combination of $1,600 for both. One prize was a brand-new washing machine, and the other prize a brand new recliner chair and a 32-inch smart TV.

The raffle promo period begun last May 12, 2023. From that date customers could get raffle tickets for every purchase of $35 at the restaurant, until the deadline on July 6, 2023. The raffle drawing was held the next day.

According to KFC and Taco Bell Restaurant manager Yole Aldan, the raffle was a celebration giveaway combining both a Fathers’ Day gift and Mothers’ Day gift as a prize, on the month where parents are celebrated. She shared that it had been one of the ways they could give back to customers and the whole team was excited to do it. She also wanted to thank the winners and all their customers for supporting KFC and Taco Bell.

National Parents Day is annually celebrated each July, and this year, fell on July 23, 2023. (Chrystal Marino)
