KHS JROTC program receives Gold Star Accreditation
The Kagman High School’s Ayuyu Battalion earned the Honor Unit of Distinction (Gold Star) last Feb. 5, 2024, marking a significant achievement in their first Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps’ Program of Accreditation since 2017.
With an impressive overall score of 97.7%, the Ayuyu Battalion showcased unparalleled dedication and proficiency in leadership, citizenship, and academic excellence. Under the guidance of their instructors, the cadets have exemplified the core values of the JROTC program, demonstrating integrity, service, and excellence.
The Ayuyu Battalion earned the highest score in the JROTC Program of Accreditation in all of the High Schools located in Guam, Saipan, and Tinian.
This event was evaluated by Mark Pratt, who is the JROTC inspector from Fort Lewis in Washington State. He was accompanied by KHS principal Benjamin Jones.
Achieving the Honor Unit of Distinction status required the collective effort of cadets, instructors, school administrators, and the wider community.
Through rigorous training, community service initiatives, academic pursuits, and countless hours of dedication the Kagman High JROTC Ayuyu Battalion surpassed the stringent criteria set by the JROTC Program of Accreditation. Their exceptional score of 97.7 reflects their unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of excellence in all aspects of JROTC training and education.
As they celebrate this remarkable achievement, the Kagman High JROTC Ayuyu Battalion remains dedicated to serving their school, community, and nation with honor and distinction. This recognition not only highlights their past successes but also sets the stage for continued excellence in the years to come.
