KobES, GES 2, BSS notch wins in soccer

Koblerville Elementary School Umangs 1, Garapan Elementary School Mallards 2, and Brilliant Star School 1 won their games last Friday in the continuation of the 2024-2025 NMIFA-PSS Interscholastic Elementary School Soccer League last Friday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.

The defending champions Umangs put on a clinic against William S. Reyes Elementary School Kingfishers 2, 11-1.

The Umangs scored all of their goals even before the Kingfishers found the net for their only goal of the game. Liam Palacios led KobES from the starting whistle as he shot past the Kingfishers’ keeper just a minute in. He then went on a tear as he completed the hat-trick plus added one more only 10 minutes into the game for a 4-0 lead.

The Kingfishers couldn’t find an opening while the Umangs made light work of their defense as Andrey Ray added the fifth goal in the 12th. Then, two additional goals slipped past Baylyn Mansfield to make it 6-nil.

Palacios wasn’t done as he tacked on two more goals by the 29th, and Jun Mullens got in on the action with a double goal by the 33rd minute. The Kingfishers only goal came in the 37th minute.

After, GES 2 fired past Gregorio T. Camacho Elementary School Binadus, also 11-1.

Pritam Roy and Adrian Mercado had a field day as they shot the majority of GES’ goals. Roy opened the game up in the third minute, followed two minutes later by Mercado.

Mercado went on to score four more goals, while Roy slotted three more. The two other goals were scored by Joven Sablan. For GTC, the lone goal was made by Oshean Garde in the 19th minute.

Then, BSS 1 outscored Mount Carmel School 1, 5-3.

The game was tied, 1-1, by the 15th minute after #12 of BSS and Thomas Flores of MCS scored. BSS’ #12 (no name provided on roster) went on to score all five goals for BSS, while Flores and teammate #2 scored the second and third goal for MCS.
