Lamarc, K.J. atop SBL stats race
As of July 5, Lamarc Iguel and K.J. Villagomez are atop the 2024 Tan Holdings-Saipan Baseball League statistical races.
Iguel, of Sandlot, has the highest batting percentage and is the current batting leader with a .588 from 10 hit of 17 at-bats. Tied for second is Blue Jays’ Frankie Lieto and Royals’ Marvin Ngeskebei with a .563 average each from nine connections in 16 plate appearances. Third is the Cardinals’ Nokki Saralu at .520 from 13 hits out of 25 at-bats.
In other batting categories, Poland Masaharu leads the runs scored at 19; Brian Camacho is next at 18; Jerald Cabrera and Saralu are at 17 each; Iguel has 16; and Pat Tenorio Jr. collected 12.
Masaharu also has the most triples at two, while Alfred Manglona, Ben Lizama, Derrence Diaz, Eli Aughenbaugh, Jonah Flores, Cabrera, Kaipo Dikito, Niko Martin, Saralu, Tenorio Jr., Tonchu Norita, and Travis Malwebug hit one each.
Camacho has the most doubles at six; Harry Nakamura, and J.P Sablan are tied at three; and eight other players are tied with two each.
Saralu leads with the most RBIs at 11; Camacho and Tenorio Jr. have nine each; Byron Kaipat, Aughenbaugh, Masaharu, and Tony Tenorio gathered eight each; and Ed Manibusan, Darion Jones, and Franco Nakamura have seven each.
The only homers were made by Ben Flores, Dennis Cabrera, Aughenbaugh, Jesus Iguel, and Tony Tenorio with one each.
