Laniyo tops SINMI’s ‘Live Your Dream’ contest
Davilynn Varry Laniyo was named this year’s top winner of the “Live Your Dream” contest of the Soroptimist International Northern Mariana Islands.
The contest, which aims to support women in the CNMI, had a total of 23 applicants this year and SINMI was able to give a total of $3,500 to four of the women who got the highest scores.
The other awardees are Reinalynn Attao, first runner up; Vertilia Camacho Cabrera, second runner up; and Christy Joy Aldan, third runner up.
This year’s Live Your Dream awarding took place last Saturday night at Charley’s Cabaret at the Pacific Islands Club Saipan.
The grant award goes to a woman pursuing her undergraduate or trades degree, is the financial head of the household and can demonstrate a financial need in order to be able to continue to pursue her educational dream. (PR)
