MOS cleans up CK; will soon move to Susupe
As part of its Village Cleanup program, the Saipan Mayor’s Office announced that it has removed more than 700 cubic yards of green waste and 104 cubic yards of white goods from the village of Chalan Kanoa.
The announcement, made yesterday in a news release, stated that Saipan Mayor Ramon Blas “RB” Camacho is pleased to see the response of village residents in the ongoing island-wide village cleanup efforts.
Camacho initiated the operation to assist Chalan Kanoa residents in preparation for the forthcoming start of village inspections. Since the start of the cleanup, many residents have expressed positive feedback on the operations and have taken full advantage of the assistance being provided by the Mayor’s Office.
The same news release said the Chalan Kanoa cleanup is now 90% complete and the Saipan Mayor’s Office’s Field Operations staff will soon be moving north into Susupe to continue removing waste and debris in other villages.
Camacho urged Saipan residents to be patient as his staff will be making their way into all the villages island-wide. He also asked residents to continue disposing their trash as usual.
