MVA preps for major trade show ITB Asia, JATA Tourism Expo

The Marianas Visitors Authority will join two major travel shows this month—ITB Asia in Singapore and Japan Association of Travel Agents Tourism Expo Japan in Osaka, Japan.

ITB Asia, the leading travel trade show in Asia, will be held on Oct. 25-27, 2023, in Singapore. ITB Asia is an annual B2B trade show and convention for the travel industry designed to be the primary event for the Asia-Pacific travel industry. With over 20,000 business appointments recorded at ITB Asia, MICE Show Asia, and Travel Tech Asia 2022, this year’s show will provide an opportunity for the MVA to explore and establish new partnerships with exhibitors and buyers from across all segments of MICE, corporate, and leisure travel in the region.

JATA Tourism Expo, one of the world’s largest annual travel festivals, will be held in Osaka on Oct. 26-29, 2023. The expo, to be held at the International Exhibition Center, brings together countries and regions from all over the world. The MVA will also host a Marianas Seminar on Oct. 30 for in-depth information exchange and partnership-building with travel trade and media representatives in the Osaka and Kansai region. A similar seminar was held earlier this year in Tokyo.

“ITB Asia and JATA Tourism Expo Japan are the two largest trade shows the MVA will participate in this year, providing extensive, in-person access to potential visitors and key travel trade and media reps that are potential new avenues to promote The Marianas,” said MVA managing director Christopher A. Concepcion. “And as Osaka is the second largest city in Japan, the Marianas Seminar will give us further opportunity to enhance strategic partnerships or develop new ones to increase travel to our destination from this region, which was once a top source city for The Marianas.”

At the shows, the MVA will distribute information about The Marianas and MVA member businesses, conduct Q&A with attendees, offer audio-visual presentations and cultural demonstrations, and more. (MVA)
