Man who exposed himself to minors gets $50K bail
The Superior Court imposed a $50,000 bail on a man who had been reported to have exposed his private parts to two minors.
Following his arrest, Zacarias Igisomar, also known as Kalle, appeared before Superior Court Associate Judge Lillian Tenorio yesterday morning at the Superior Court in Susupe for his bail hearing.
The 49-year-old is facing charges of sexual assault in the second degree, sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree, assault and battery, indecent exposure in the second degree, and disturbing the peace.
During the hearing, Tenorio not only issued the bail price, but also scheduled a preliminary hearing for Igisomar on Aug. 30 at 10am. Igisomar is also set to appear back in court for an arraignment this Sept. 16 at 9am. He was remanded back to the Department of Corrections until his preliminary hearing.
According to court documents, on Aug. 11, 2024 at 7am the minor victim had awakened and noticed her jean romper had been unzipped exposing her chest, and saw Igisomar near her and her younger sister’s bed.
Afraid and not knowing what to expect, the victim pretended to be asleep, but when Igisomar approached her younger sister’s bed she got up and questioned him. She immediately saw that his zipper was down and his genitals exposed and sticking out. Igisomar presumed to answer her question with “It’s nothing…”
The victim later told police that Igisomar proceeded to sit down on the corner of the bed near the younger girl’s feet and tried to cover his crotch area with his hand as if he were zipping up his pants.
The victim told Department of Public Safety detectives that the incident wasn’t the first time Igisomar had bothered her and her sister and invaded their privacy and making them feel uncomfortable. Following the incidents, she often would stay up all night to ensure her sister was safe. The victim said she never felt truly safe around Igisomar and usually feared he would hurt her and her sister.
DPS also conducted interviews with the older sister of the two victims and she shared that she too had experienced inappropriate sexual conduct from Igisomar.
The report goes on to state that when interviewed, Igisomar told officers he had unintentionally exposed himself and had been under the influence of alcohol and does not know how he got into the house. He also claimed that he didn’t have any issues with the family and that he doesn’t understand why the girls would accuse him of inappropriately touching them.
