Manglona, King-Nabors to seek re-election, DeLeon Guerrero to run as independent for undecided seat
Sens. Paul A. Manglona (Ind-Rota) and Karl R. King-Nabors (R-Tinian) will both be seeking re-election this November, while Senate President Edith E. DeLeon Guerrero (D-Saipan) will be running but has yet to decide for which seat.
In response to Saipan Tribune’s inquiry, Manglona said Gov. Arnold I. Palacios is trying to help Rota and he wants to help Palacios with that.
Manglona has been a Rota senator for a total of 36 years.
King-Nabors said he is also seeking re-election and that there are some steps within the NMI Republican Party that he needs to finalize.
“It’s just a formality, but I want to respect the process,” King-Nabors said.
DeLeon Guerrero said she will also be running but has not firmed up a decision on which seat to run for.
“I plan to run as an independent. I still have much that I can provide my service to the CNMI people,” DeLeon Guerrero said.
This year’s CNMI election will be on Nov. 5.
