McDonald’s sponsors Team Marianas’ lunch in Guam
Team Marianas brought home several medals in the 2024 Micronesian Games held at Marshall Islands from June 15 to 24, 2024.
In a gesture of support and community engagement, McDonald’s welcomed members of Team Marianas to enjoy a complimentary meal as they won 122 medals (70 gold, 23 silver, and 29 bronze) at the said competition.
McDonald’s hosted a special lunch for Team Marianas, sponsoring the athletes’ meal at one of the stores in McDonald’s Tamuning, Guam. McDonald’s takes pleasure in supporting the athletes who competed in eight sports—athletics, basketball, beach volleyball, fast-pitch softball, swimming, tennis, weightlifting, and wrestling.
Team Marianas, comprising talented athletes in a variety of sports, expressed gratitude for the sponsorship, highlighting the importance of such support in their journey to represent the island in such games. The NMI community as a whole has supported Team Marianas from the beginning of the competitions in the Marshall Islands, and Team Marianas and the Northern Marianas Sports Association Board expressed their gratitude to everyone who helped and supported the NMI officials and athletes’ participation in the Micro Games.
The partnership between McDonald’s and Team Marianas underscores a commitment to fostering local talent and promoting healthy lifestyles through sports. It also highlights the role of corporate sponsors in bolstering community initiatives and supporting youth development in athletics.
