Micronesia Mall marks 36 years with epic Tower for Humanity build

Micronesia Mall is gearing up for its 36th anniversary.

To commemorate this event, Micronesia Mall has partnered with the Tower for Humanity team, featuring the Guinness World Record-holding brothers Brandon and Landon Aydlett, who will be constructing a 30-foot replica of New York City’s Empire State Building out of toy timber logs in the Micronesia Mall Center Court from Aug. 1 to 8, 2024– their tallest and most epic build yet.

Throughout the construction period, volunteers from the community of all ages are encouraged to assist with the building process to complete this ambitious project, organized in support of the Mall’s selected nonprofit partners: Alee Shelters, Harvest House, and Victim Advocates Reaching Out. These nonprofit organizations were selected by the Mall for their efforts in serving children in need and providing essential programs and services for families.

Alee Shelters, Harvest House, and Victim Advocates Reaching Out will be stationed in the Center Court throughout the build, raising awareness about their causes and collecting donations through the Sponsor-A-Log initiative.

Micronesia Mall also invites the community to attend the Mall’s 36th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024 from 12pm to 3pm in the Micronesia Mall Center Court which will kick off with a ribbon-cutting and tower-lighting ceremony, followed by live entertainment, games, giveaways, and grand prize drawings of three free roundtrip tickets from Guam to Manila on Philippine Airlines, courtesy of Goodwind Travel—one ticket given away every hour!

Attendees 18 years or older can register for free on the day of the event starting at 10am in the Center Court for a chance to win the amazing grand prizes. Participants must be present to win. Other terms and conditions apply.

The event will also include live entertainment from World Theater Productions (including a Lion King Jr. performance), the Guam Philharmonic Foundation, Elite Guam Dance Academy, and Tatuha Hula/Fire/Cultural Dancers. Additional acts will be confirmed soon. Attendees can also look forward to exciting giveaways from sponsors like Burger King, Naturally Nourished, and Vitamin World, among others.
