Over $30K worth of ‘ice’ found on arrestee

A routine search of an arrestee at the CNMI Department of Corrections Thursday night led to the discovery of approximately 111 grams of crystal methamphetamine with an estimated street value of just over $30,000.

DOC Commissioner Anthony Torres said in a press conference yesterday at DOC that after a thorough search, his staff found the illegal substance, along with a scale and pipe, from James Camacho, a man brought in on a bench warrant for failing to appear in CNMI Drug Court.
