Priority Care wins over Office of the Governor

Mixed emotions filled the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium at the stary of the playoffs of the R&J Wine and Liquor Inter-Gov’t/Business League 2023 last Saturday as Priority Care took on the Office of the Governor in a tight basketball game that saw Priority Care come out as victors, 74-62.

Starting the third quarter of the game, Priority Care just had a 1-point disadvantage against the Office of the Governor, 30-31. But the team quickly caught up and, with a little over six minutes left on the clock, Priority Care gained a 5-point advantage, 38-33.

The Office of the Governor regained their momentum and moved their points on the scoreboard until they were neck-and-neck with Priority Care at 38-all, giving the crowd some serious anticipation on who would own the next points.

The next four minutes was tight as it could be as Priority Care and Office of the Governor battled it out. The former then recaptured the lead in the final couple of minutes of the third and Priority Care entered the last 10 minutes of the contest with a 9-point lead, 53-44.

Although they put up an impressive fight, and had chances to catch up, the fourth quarter seemed to be drawing of the curtain for the Office of the Governor as they went from a 6-point difference to a 10-point hole in the final minutes of the game.
