SHRM elects new officers

The CNMI Chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management announced yesterday that it has elected its board of directors for the year 2024.

“These individuals have been chosen to lead our chapter and continue the valuable work of advancing the HR profession in the Northern Mariana Islands,” the group said in a news release.

They are:

Chapter president: Roman M. Tudela, Northern Marianas College

Past-president: Nicole S. Babauta, Docomo Pacific CNMI

President-elect: Joyce Esguerra, IT&E CNMI

Secretary: Rob Harrell, IT&E CNMI

Treasurer: Wendielyn Escota, Marianas Eye Institute

Membership & Marketing director: Christine Aninzo, CNMI Judiciary

Program director: Plumeria Aldan-Castro, Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.

Legislation director: Catherine Cachero (ex-officio member)

Certification director: Frank Gibson (ex-officio member)

Advisor to the board: Frank Ada, Triple J Enterprises (ex-officio member)

“Each member of the board brings a wealth of experience, expertise, and dedication to the field of human resources, and we are confident that their leadership will contribute to the success and growth of our chapter,” the SHRM news release stated.

“Our primary focus will be on fostering an even more inclusive and supportive environment for our members and advocating for the advancement of HR practices in our community by actively engaging with local businesses, educational institutions, and government bodies,” said Tudela.

SHRM thanks its outgoing board members for their efforts and commitment to the CNMI Chapter of SHRM during their tenure.

“We look forward to a productive and successful year ahead under the guidance of our new board of directors.
