Saipan Fil-American Lions Club Brings smiles to CHCC Pediatric Ward
In hopes to brighten a patient’s day, the Saipan Fil-American Lions Club collected and donated a bunch of educational supplies to the Pediatric Ward at the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation last Thursday at the Hospital in Garapan.
The initiative was a part of the Lions Club’s ongoing commitment to community outreach projects, and aimed at making a positive impact on the lives of those in need. The club hopes their donation might help brighten several children’s visit as the hospital’s young patients go through their appointments and treatments.
Club president Socorro Huliganga expressed the importance of the donated supplies, emphasizing their role in providing light activities crucial for the early recovery of pediatric patients. The supplies, include sketch pads, coloring books, puzzles, and coloring pencils. “These supplies might last for a few months, and we are more than willing to replenish them as needed,” President Huliganga stated, underscoring the club’s dedication to sustaining its support to the Pediatric Ward.
The donation presentation was coordinated by the club’s Annamae Adaza, and Ernie Molina. The gesture was warmly received by CHCC Director of Nursing Grace Laxina, Pediatric Manager Jeanneth Muyalde, Dr. Michael Pham, social workers, and pediatric nurses.
